BTS has left an indelible mark on both domestic and international music charts with their fifth studio album, 'Arirang'. The band has skillfully navigated the music industry, carving a niche for themselves on major weekly rankings around the world.
As reported by Hanteo Chart, a prominent album sales tracking website, on the 30th of the month, BTS's latest offering, 'Arirang', has claimed the number one position on both the global world chart and album chart for the week, covering the period from March 23 to March 29. Remarkably, the album ascended to the summit of the chart within just three days of its release on March 20, and impressively sustained its position at the top for two consecutive weeks, particularly during the third week of March.

As detailed in a preliminary article by the esteemed American music publication Billboard on the 30th, the album 'Arirang' has clinched the top spot on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' for the week dated April 4. The album made a staggering entry onto the chart with 641,000 album units, marking the most impressive weekly performance by a group album since the inception of unit tracking in December 2014. A significant portion of these, totaling 532,000, were outright album sales, encompassing both physical and digital acquisitions. This achievement sets an unprecedented record for the highest weekly sales for a group album in over a decade.
The triumph of BTS extends beyond the Billboard 200, as they have also conquered global music charts. The group dominated the weekly rankings on Spotify, a leading global audio and music streaming platform, for the period of March 20-26. They excelled across categories such as 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists' on the global charts. Noteworthy is the title track 'SWIM', which claimed the number one position on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global'. Furthermore, all 14 tracks from the new album managed to secure positions within the top 30, further attesting to their widespread appeal.
The song 'SWIM' has consistently held the number one rank on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for nine days, spanning March 20 to March 28, and seven days from March 23 to March 29, respectively. All tracks from the album have also been prominently featured on the latest chart rankings across both platforms. Even ten days post-release, the entire collection of tracks continues to enjoy widespread popularity, underscoring the immense affection fans worldwide have for BTS's music.
Simultaneously, BTS is poised to captivate audiences with the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'', scheduled to take place at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12. Furthermore, in October, they are set to grace stages in South America with stadium performances in countries such as Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. All 46 performances, inclusive of those in Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have been met with overwhelming demand, as evidenced by their early sellout status, a testament to the group's extraordinary drawing power for live concerts.
